
Pinellas Residents Invited To Talk Trash At Public Workshops
Pinellas County Solid Waste is inviting residents, businesses and business partners to workshop on the existing solid waste program.
From Pinelas County: Pinellas County Solid Waste is inviting residents, businesses and business partners to attend one of three upcoming Master Plan Workshops to review existing solid waste programs, and provide feedback about potential new countywide waste, recycling and reduction programs, as well as evaluate opportunities to create more renewable energy from waste.
“The next 30 years is a very important timeframe in the lifespan of our landfill. Continuing, creating and sustaining the right programs is at the core of developing an effective master plan that meets current needs and anticipates future needs of residents, visitors and businesses,” according to Pinellas County Administrator Barry Burton. “The choices we make now will shape our environment and economy far into the future. A collaborative approach is imperative in making these decisions.”
Participants are encouraged to attend a workshop location convenient to them. The following workshop dates will provide the same information at each location:

The workshops will be held in an open-house style, including an overview presentation and project-related information at 6 p.m. County representatives will be available to answer any questions afterwards.
